As nature’s most important pollinator, bees are essential to many flowering plants as well as humans.  They actually taste nectar through their legs, which act to spread pollen.  They live in highly organized communities, each bee having a specific task.  Many cultures honor bees for their industriousness, and as a symbol of  fertility.
