Sunflower (Helios)

The sunflower,  found through much of North America, is a miraculous affirmation of life. It is vibrant and beautiful and can grow over ten feet high in two months. Its head literally tracks the sun from east to west. It has been cultivated for thousands of years. Dye made from its petals and seed was used in basketry and weaving.
